The Register of Baptisms, Weddings, and Burials in Niagara was begun in 1792 by Rev. Robert Addison of St. Mark's Church. The entire contents have been digitized but due to Internet limitations such as modem speed and bandwidth, the complete digital records are currently at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library only. The original register is housed in the Diocesan Archives at McMaster University in Hamilton. To see digitized samples of actual pages from the Registry, click HERE. Transcribed text of the contents is contained on this site, fully searchable by Name and/or Date*.
The Civil and Military Registries of Fort George encompass the years 1821 - 1856. These records also have been digitized but not transcribed. The originals also are housed at McMaster University. To see digitized samples of actual pages from these Registers, click HERE.
